Established as a movement within the live music community, GrooveSafe addresses the pervasive issue of non-consensual touching and sexual violence at concerts. The organization became a nonprofit to further its mission of creating safer environments that nurture consent culture.
What They Do
Education & Awareness
GrooveSafe educates fans on appropriate interactions, encourages individuals to speak up for themselves and others, and provides training for bands and venues to promote safer live music experiences.
Partnerships
The organization collaborates with bands, festivals, publications, and venues to spread their message and create no-tolerance environments for harassment. Notable supporters include Phish, Goose, The Disco Biscuits, Umphrey's McGee, and Greensky Bluegrass.
