Since its inception in 1997, The WaterWheel Foundation has supported causes including environmental conservation, social justice, food security, music education, voter registration, and services for women, children, and the unhoused. Over 25 years, they’ve donated over $9 million to 500+ nonprofits nationwide.

WHAT THEY DO:

TOURING DIVISION

On tour, WaterWheel partners with local organizations to create volunteer opportunities and collect donations to benefit the communities we visit.
At concerts, WaterWheel hosts a table where fans can purchase exclusive merchandise -- often donated by the band and artists -- with proceeds benefitting local nonprofits selected in each tour city.

BENEFIT EVENTS

WaterWheel raised over $3.5 million dollars during a 2-day Flood Recovery Benefit August 25-26th, 2023 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, with 100% of net proceeds from concert and merchandise sales going to The WaterWheel Foundation's 2023 Flood Recovery Fund to support victims of flooding in Vermont and Upstate New York.

VERMONT-BASED SUPPORT

WaterWheel supports local Vermont nonprofits year-round, with a focus on conservation and social services, including the Lake Champlain Initiative, where all royalties from Ben & Jerry's Phish Food ice cream are donated to environmental efforts protecting Vermont's Lake Champlain.
