Palos Hills Emergency Management Agency is charged with assisting in protecting the community by mitigating against, preparing for, responding to, and recovering from threatened or actual natural disasters, acts of terrorism, or other man-made disasters.
It is the vision of the Palos Hills Emergency Management Agency is to be recognized as a professional, well respected, proactive, volunteer, community orientated emergency management agency in the City of Palos Hills and surrounding municipalities.

What do we do?
Last year we responded to 69 incidents and put in over 4,000 hours to support Palos Hills, Palos Heights, Palos Park, Worth, Evergreen Park, Hometown, Melrose Park, and Lemont.
Throughout the year we plan and run operations for many community events including marathon's, parades, fest's, and fireworks. We provide medical support and emergency response for the Greek Jr. Olympics. We train with the state and local departments on search and rescue, emergency operations, hazardous materials, self-defense, first aid and disaster operations.
Our department is on call 24 hours a day and consists of dedicated unpaid professionals. Many of our members have gone on to police and fire departments as well as the FBI. Our members have over 145 years of combined experience.
